SPARC research continues and refines the work begun four years ago when Dr. David Collum at Missouri Baptist University (MBU) asked the question, \u201cDoes the classroom simulation program, simSchool, have any impact on pre-service teachers\u2019 understanding of diversity?\u201d<\/p>\n

To meet new accreditation diversity standards, MBU\u2019s Dr. Collum began researching simulation-based learning (SBL) platforms to determine the efficacy of using simulations to provide pre-service teachers experience teaching diverse students.<\/p>\n

With the support of Dr. Melanie Bishop, Dean of the School of Education at MBU, Dr. Collum forged ahead with simSchool research at his university, and over the next two years, he included additional universities across the United States and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Pragmatic Solutions (simSchool) has designated Missouri Baptist University the research hub for simSchool 2.0 studies in education preparation.<\/p>\n
